Additional Information: 12 week Technician License Exam Review Class meets on Tuesday evenings from 6:30 - 8:30 PM in person at the Wallingford OEM at 143 Hope Hill Road in Wallingford.
Classes will cover all material by topic to pass Element 2 and each week a different team of teachers will present the material.
The MARC/WARG Technician Class has a unique focus that encourages our students to participate in ham radio activities while studying for their license. Going against the conventional wisdom of helping students merely memorize the published question pool answers, we program fun hands-on activities that will also help reinforce learning of technical material. Such supplemental activities include constructing a solderless crystal controlled low power AM modulator kit to reinforce understanding of oscillation, carrier waves, and modulation. Students also have the opportunity purchase an inexpensive handheld FM transceiver programmed with all CT 2M repeaters early in the course to monitor local nets while preparing for their exam.
Optional exam offered at on-site VE Session at conclusion of the course.
TO REGISTER: This course is offered as part of the Wallingford Adult Ed Program and students must register through the Adult Ed office.
